Number of Homeless Persons in Southern California CoCs Decreased by 2,156 persons or 2.7% between 2017 and 2018

The number of homeless persons in our Southern California CoCs totaled 79,373 in 2017 and 77,217 in 2018, which represents a decrease of 2,156 persons or 2.7% and similar to state trend.

HUD just released 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress based on 2018 PIT count. The number of persons who were homeless in California dropped from 134,278 in 2017 to 129,972 in 2018, which represents a decrease of 4,306 persons or 3.2%.
